Acupuncture

I started my training in this ancient form of healing in 2006.  Since that time I have interned with Dr. Chiu-an Chang of Tucson and spent 3 months in Haikou China with Dr.  Luo Heping, Director of Acupuncture at the Hainan Hospital of Traditional Medicine. Acupuncture is a facet of Chinese Medicine that involves placing fine needles along lines on the body called Meridians in order to balance the body’s energy and open the pathways of communication between organs.

Herbal Medicine

My experience with Chinese Herbs and Herbal Formulas began in 2006 as I undertook the entire program of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. This became an additional Master’s degree and led to my studying Chinese Herbal Medicine with Dr. Lin, Director of Herbal Medicine and former president of Hainal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Haikou China.

Tui Na

Chinese Medical Massage has been a facet of Chinese Medicine for centuries. In China, it is said that there are three divisions of Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Tui Na.

Tui Na is a form of massage given to clothed person involving techniques like stretching, rolling and kneeding, along Meridians of the body.

Massage Therapy

As a graduate of The Desert Institute of The Healing Arts in 1996, I have been practising massage since. For 8 years I worked with patients at Sierra Tucson Institute, an acute psychiatric and substance abuse hospital in Tucson before entering private practice. With almost two decades of experience in this field, I incorporate the knowledge I have gained in relation to a persons’ body, heart and mind in every massage and acupuncture treatment I give.

Cupping

A technique in Chinese Medicine that is excellent for depression, shoulder and back pain, tension headaches, PMS and more!

A small flame is quickly inserted and drawn out of a glass cup creating a vacuum inside the cup. The cup is then placed on the skin and stagnation under the skin is drawn to the surface creating a new pathway for the flow of blood and Qi. A person who receives cupping is left with a new feeling of lightness in body and soul.
